£20.00Transplant Sport Football Training
The European Transplant and Dialysis Games (ETDG) are being held for the first time in the UK in Oxford from August 21-28th this year, Transplant Sport Football are excited to announce a training weekend to scout for potential footballers to participate in the two teams we are planning to enter. Although selection is not mandatory for individual events at the European Games, team sports will be selected. Football is being included in the games for the first time following the successful 2019 World Transplant games where TS Team GB&NI won the football, Team GB&NI football are looking to retain their champions status.
If you are a fit transplant recipient or dialysis patient who enjoys playing football and would like the opportunity to represent Team GB&NI at the European Games, then this weekend is for you. We have been notified that several other countries from around Europe have also been training so the competition is going to be strong. Competitors planning to attend the games doing other sports will not be able to select football unless they have been selected for it.
This weekend will take place at Radley College in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, which is the venue where the games will be held. The training will take place on Astro turf football pitches where Astro turf only footwear is permitted. You must be 16 or over to take part and have a competent level of fitness.
