With our ambitious plans to encourage as many transplant recipients as possible to keep active and promote organ donation, fundraising is essential. Every penny donated works hard to support our members as they keep active post transplant. What better way to show the difference life saving organ donation makes than transplant recipients demonstrating the difference it has made. Please let us know about your fundraising and we’ll help promote your activities.

If you are fundraising for TRANSPLANT SPORT, you must display the Transplant Sport UK Registered Charity No: 1127314. All monies raised must be paid to TRANSPLANT SPORT.

Please contact Richard Southerden for further information.

Below are just some of the ways in which you can fundraise for Transplant Sport…

50-50 Club

The 50-50 club launched in January 2015 as a fundraising initiative for TS and it costs just £1 a week to enter. A draw is made every week and the winner is announced via email to all members of the club. The prize money is split between TS and the winner. There is no limit on the numbers that you can buy. Players must be over 16. Full terms and conditions available from the TS office.

To be in a chance to win, sign up now by completing this form [link to download] and returning it to the office – office@transplantsport.org.uk.

Fundraising online

Transplant Sport has accounts with:
  • Just Giving
  • Virgin Money Giving
  • Total Giving

You can set up your fundraising page on any of these sites and select TRANSPLANT SPORT as your chosen charity. TRANSPLANT SPORT is then able to claim the gift aid on donations made by UK taxpayers. Please read the TS Fundraising Guidance document [link to pdf document] which sets out the information you need to include on your page.

Ebay fundraising

For all of you who sell items on ebay, you can now set up an account with TRANSPLANT SPORT so that part or all of your earnings is donated to TRANSPLANT SPORT.

Just follow this link to get started: www.ebay.co.uk/egw/ebay-for-charity

Legacies & funeral donations

For something good to come out of the sadness of losing someone close, ask for donations to TRANSPLANT SPORT. And when you write or review your will, you can support us by give instructions for donations to be made to TRANSPLANT SPORT at your funeral.

Please also consider including a legacy to TRANSPLANT SPORT when writing your will. Making a will is your way to ensure your intentions are followed. Making a bequest to TRANSPLANT SPORT can also reduce or avoid inheritance tax on your estate. As a will is a legal document, a solicitor will be able to take your instructions and ensure your will is valid.

And it goes without saying that all donations will help us continue transforming the lives of transplant recipients and promoting organ donation.

Shop online, raise money!

Make sure you shop online using the TRANSPLANT SPORT Easy Fundraising account. Easy Fundraising allows you to support TRANSPLANT SPORT every time you shop online. There are over 2,700 leading online retailers to shop at including Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, eBay, Argos, Tesco and many more.

Make TS your ‘Charity of the Year’

We’d be thrilled if you would nominate Transplant Sport as your work’s or organisation’s Charity of the Year. We’re sure you’ll be able to come up with lots of great ideas for fundraising and we can support you with promotional materials. We also ask you to use these events to promote organ donation within your business and to your wider business community. There is still a chronic shortage of organ donors so the more people who register as donors and talk about organ donation, the more lives that can be saved.

Alresford Golf Club made Transplant Sport their Charity of the Year in 2018, and through activities such as organising a Captains Day, putting competitions, raffles and auctions, have raised over £11,000 for TS! Thank you so much for your generous donation.

Our fundraising tools & tips

To help you fundraise, we’ve put together templates you can use to promote your event. Just download the templates, insert the date, time, location and details of your event and share it with your friends and family. Please send us a copy too so we can promote your event and boost your fundraising.
